The Harfangs took the series 2-1 in a hard-fought battle that came down to the wire in a decisive Game 3. The narrative was established early in Game 1, when the Harfangs managed a 3-2 overtime victory despite being outshot 21-12. Area 51 found their stride in Game 2, putting on a possession clinic with a 5-2 win to force the series limit, but they couldn't solve the Harfangs' defensive shell in the finale. The series ended in a narrow 2-1 Harfangs victory where they were once again out-possessed but proved to be the more clinical finishing team.
