What a wild series we're witnessing between the Mighty Deks and the Shorsey Snipers! In game one, the Deks edged out the Snipers 4-3 in an overtime thriller thanks to Lleclerc27's two goals and a power-play masterpiece. Right from the drop of the puck, the Deks played aggressively, firing off a whopping 38 shots. Meanwhile, the Snipers had a solid effort from hockeymike2344, who rounded out the effort with a goal and an assist. Goalie performances were a mixed bag, with Chandler4911 facing a barrage and stopping 42, while Hulksmash8649 held firm with a solid outing but couldn’t protect all of his posts.
Then came game two, where the Deks turned the heat up and took it 6-4! The scoring barrage was led by xT S P 0 0 N, who racked up a 5-point night with 3 goals and a pair of assists. Not to be outshone, Lleclerc27 also had a hat trick, sending the Snipers reeling yet again. Despite hockeymike2344’s two goals and an assist, the Snipers' defense couldn't hold together under the relentless Deks pressure, which saw them firing 20 shots compared to the Snipers’ 17.
We rolled into game three with more of the same dominance from the Deks, sealing it 3-0! This time, it was TwO AcCuRaTE's turn to shine with a goal and 2 assists. Deks goalie Chandler4911 earned a well-deserved shutout, stopping all 9 shots he faced while facing minimal pressure. The Snipers struggled to get anything going, with Hulksmash8649 facing a large flurry of shots and having a tough night. The question now is how the Snipers will regroup and come back in the next one – they gotta tighten that defense to stand a chance!
