What a showdown we witnessed between the Yetis and Mighty Deks! The Yetis managed to carve out a tight 4-3 victory in game 1 of the series, with Hoss9286 stealing the spotlight, scoring a tasty 2 goals and assisting another for a total of 4 points. The Deks put up a valiant fight, with Fraaqside lighting the lamp and adding 2 assists, not to mention JNoQuarterJ throwing his weight around with some serious hits. They fought hard despite racking up penalties, keeping it close with a late push and only one shot separating the two teams at the close. Moving to game 2, the Mighty Deks established their dominance with a nail-biting 3-2 victory. With BAR D0WN 43 netting the game-winner, they had strong performances across the board, notably Fraaqside again contributing 1 goal and 2 assists. JNoQuarterJ showed he can be a force on both ends with 11 hits and an assist, while the Yetis’ King Tougie continued his scoring streak, notching crucial plays, but they struggled with penalties this time around, which worked against their offensive flow. Then we had game 3, where the tension reached new heights with an overtime finish as the Yetis edged the Deks 5-4. King Tougie was on fire this game, bagging an incredible 4 goals and leading his team once more. Fraaqside answered back for the Deks with his own 2 goals and 2 assists but fell just short. The battle spat flame with both teams showcasing excellent skill and grit, and the series is still anyone's game as we head into the next round. What a way to spice things up!
